Nest is bigger and one seen in the nest, rebuilding it and calling out to one flying around!! Earlier saw female on branch next to it, may have been same individual.
Nest empty and looks same, but male eating fish on nearby branch. One male flew past, then I saw three other males circling above with two turkey vultures (possibly because of the heat?)
Large well built nest, however no Osprey in sight and none could be heard calling either. The tree a mere two feet away was covered in at least 40 Fish Crows. This may account for empty nest?
Today I observed a male osprey sitting in nest. Female was spotted perched on tree branch across park with large fish under her talons. No sign of juvenile.
Today I saw a female osprey perched on tree branch next to nest. Bird seemed to be picking at her feathers. Lots of churping coming from inside the nest. Male was spotted in center of park (20 meters away).
female perched on branch 10ft above nest. female is cleaning her feathers. there is no sign of osprey in the nest, but high pitched chirping noises possibly coming from nest.
no sign of osprey in the nest. there is a male perched a few trees over from the nest. the male flew circling over nest and landed on the branch 10ft above nest.
