Osprey Nest Platform
Nest Location Description:
This osprey nest platform was erected by our Oyster Cove community and the osprey pair that took possession of the nest were named Oliver and Olivia. I have been watching and documenting this nest since 2008 from my 3rd Floor condo balcony. In 2010, I started a wordpress photo blog to share the antics and adventures of Oliver and Olivia and their fledglings through my lens. Unfortunately, Oliver nor Olivia returned for the 2012. Our platform remained empty the entire season, being visited as a perch by several osprey in the area. It is now 3/21/13, and no osprey have taken residence yet. I still post weekly info of the area osprey as well as other birds at my photo blog www.bayphotosbydonna.com.
