Ricky is back with his "new" Lucy -- . last year.. his mate didn't survive a battle with an Eagle.. so far no Nestlings have survived at this nest... let's hope for healthy Babies this year !!

Last picture of the nest, Mama feeding baby.. taken a couple days ago... So sad to say that Blynken, the last of three babies, must have flapped his wings a little too much and fell out of the perch.... Now to wait until next Spring... Mama and Papa will be back..

Mama busy taking care of "Blynken", the only surviving baby.. so.. Papa flew in with a fish and shared his catch with Mama..

"And now there is one"... So Sorry to say that Blynken is the only baby that has survived.... :-( But he seems very healthy and was exercising his little wings this morning.. :-)

Three Babies in the nest ! My friend Eric, who built the perch, named them: Wynken, Blynken and Nod.... Mama and Papa are taking very good care of them!

Ospreys have been very active today. They are doing a lot of fishing in my Cove. I have been trying to get pictures of them diving and bringing up their "catch", but so far, no luck.

This nest was built in 2012. My old Osprey perch was in pretty bad shape and needed replacing. Eric, an old high school friend came to visit, and offered to Design/Build.. It didn't take long after the perch was put in place, the Osprey Pair arrived and started building their nest. They hatched one egg last year.. and unfortunately the little guy didn't make it.... The loving couple has arrived for the 2013 nesting season, and we are hoping for beter luck this year.
