Nesting Diaries

It appears that this undersized nest has been discouraged by the utility company. I suspected by it's small size. The nest was completely gone upon my visitbut I notice Osprey just around the corner coming from nearby trees. Iwill adjust the nest location by a small amount. I doubt the Osprey have had a chance to have any babies in the old nest but if she was carrying them they may have found a last minute nest to deliver in, hopefully. The male has been out actively fishing and I hear the female cries.

Both seem to be just starting a new nest on a utility pole. The town had just removed a nest due to interfearance with utilities. Hope it won't be their fate also. Nest near entrance to Old Silver Beach. Approx. 9:30am
