7:07 AM - Two Ospreys on bottom level of cell tower, under nest. One Osprey left - and the other beat its wings. It was quite far away; but I think... it is a full-sized chick. If so, it would be the only chick I have seen this year. https://ebird.org/checklist/S145321590

(New 2022 Season) 4:43 PM - osprey perched on cell tower used for nest in prior years. After spotting Osprey from I-64 today, I drove to Independence Parkway and photoed it from several locations including 600 Independence Parkway, Chubb Insurance. No necklace; so likely a male. No leg bands. 65°F and sunny. 5:41 PM sunset.
Seems early for Osprey to return and early for them to be at nest sites; but earlier this week, a coworker told me she saw an Osprey carrying a large branch and flying over the Berkley Bridge in downtown Norfolk.
3:53 PM Photoed at least two full-sized chicks vocalizing/begging. 80°F

Saw Osprey leaving top of cell tower, instead of second level (just under the top). Nest was on second level last year. I will be interested to see which level Ospreys use this year.
