This nest is very hard to see since it's on the top of a very tall pole. I'm not sure if an adult was sitting on the nest or not, but I did see an adult on the piping that crosses the C&D Canal during the observation period.
Observed spotted, fledged chick sitting on power line near nest for duration of observation period. One adult in nest and second adult flew from nest shortly after I arrived.
Saw 2 adults and one chick stretching on the top of the nest tower today! Added one photo of all three. Could not ascertain any additional chicks due to position of nest on that high tower!
Observed both adults today; one adult on nest, while the other adult was on nearby power line. Two new photos added. Could not see into nest, so unable to confirm eggs or chicks.

A CHICK! It's a big one, but has spots and reddish eye coloring. It was sitting on the edge of the nest during the whole observation period. It called often; an adult returned the call nearby. One adult was observed on power line over the canal, holding a fish. Photo of chick at nest and adult on power line attached today.
Still cannot see into nest to confirm any chicks. One adult at nest today during observation period. Second adult perched nearby on power line over the canal.
Saw both osprey at nest exhibiting mating behavior. Before flying to nest, one osprey chased a bald eagle and called at another perched in a tree across the canal. No chicks could be seen. Not even sure if there are eggs in nest.
Confirmed both adults at nest, although cannot see inside nest. One adult sat on wires near nest, while other adult stood inside nest. Unable to confirm either eggs or hatchings inside nest.
Ospreys present! Both adults appeared to be milling around the nest. One adult flew off nest and perched nearby for duration of observation time. Of note: large construction equipment is in close proximity to nest (see photo, nest is on white tower structure.) But fortunately, this pair is OK with the construction noise. Lots of BVs and TVs in vicinity, as usual.
Observed one osprey actively bringing sticks to beginnings of a nest. Other adult observing from wire spanning canal. One bald eagle, 7 BV, and 6 TV observed in the immediate vicinity, but did not flush/pester osprey.
