Observed 1255-1315. 91 degrees and breezy with high visibility. Both osprey were off the nest and flying around when I arrived, and this continued for several minutes. Then the female approached and landed on the nest, and the male came and joined soon after and mounted her. I'm guessing their eggs failed, but they seem to be trying again (uploaded photo). They sat next to each other for a few moments, then both flew off.
Observed 1531-1548 with 100% overcast and medium visibility. 59 degrees and rain. Only one on the nest that I could see. Poked its head up sporadically whenever a car drove by. Did not see the other, but a couple were down the road at the water fishing.
Observed 1458-1515 little clouds with extremely high visibility. 72 degrees and breezy. One on the nest very low. The mate brought fish into the nest and appears as though both wet at it, then the nesting one took a portion outside the box to eat while the other took over nesting duties.
Observed 1525-1550. 68F cloudless extremely high visibility. At first I could not see any birds, but one approached around 1540 with fish, and the head of the other popped up. They ate, then switched places: the one that ate laid down low in the nest and "disappeared" and the second flew down the road to fish (with several other osprey).
Observed from 1452-1518. 70-75% overcast with variable breeze, but high visibility. Temperature 59° F. Both osprey on the nest. A third was sitting on the coned utility pole at the AF fueling facility, but that didn't seem to perturb the couple. The female got out and flew a lap before perching below the nest to groom.
