One adult individual is present though its sex can not be identified at the time of observation. Two chicks are present in the nest as well. One chick is beating its wings and flapping into the wind, without taking off.
Upon approach, there are no individuals present in the nesting area. Upon closer inspection nearby individual, sex unknown, flies toward the nest, and perches on perch pole. No active nesting behaviors were observed.
Nesting material has increased again, but not dramatically. There is one particularly large piece of plastic that is hanging off the front of the nest, which worries the observer.
Marked increase of nesting material. Almost looks as good as other nests in the park. There are at least two trash bags that were brought in as nesting material that are clearly visible from far away. No individuals were observed in the area, however distant calling from the tree line is noted.
More nesting material is being added, and no individuals are present at the start of the observation. After a few minutes two individuals are seen soaring, though not in tandem. One flies over the bay to the left of the nest while one soars in the area.
Nesting material is in the process of being added to the new nest box. Though sparse, the amount is significantly more than observed previously. Red-winged Black Bird seen perched on the perch pole. No individuals were noted in the surrounding area.
Two individuals crudely seen in the morning area observed during a seining activity. No individuals are seen during the afternoon observation. No sign of perched or soaring individuals in the area.
