Two nestlings visible on the nest. They appear to be the approximate age of the nestlings at https://explore.org/livecams/ospreys/osprey-cam-chesapeake-conservancy.

During incubation an adult on incubation duty can be difficult to see. This morning one adult was perched on a light pole across the street from the nest, and the second was visible on the edge of the nest, with its head down, engaged in what I believe to be feeding behavior. So, I think there is at least one nestling present, even though I can't see it.

While I was taking these photos there appeared to be one adult on the nest with the two chicks, and one adult perched on a light pole across the street, seen in this photo. I have previously reported that 2 chicks have been observed at this nest. Shortly after the above photos were taken, a fourth head appeared in the nest. So who is the adult perched across the street? I may have missed a third chick. Another possibility is it's one of the Patterson St. NW ospreys, who did not have any chicks this year.
