female deep in nest today, male flew to nest rim then over to the nearby light perch. I am so pleased this relocation project was successful!

Pair at siren tower on 4-1-20 start building new nest after nest was removed prior winter. pair has had chicks there prior 2-3 seasons with questions about the condition of their chicks hearing??? fire dept took nest down but placed no excluder so osprey arrived and spent almost 2 weeks attempting to build new high nest to cover the motor, I was called 4-12-20, Easter sunday, to assist relocation, placed a new platform and substantial starter nest on tall light pole at next door boat yard, approx 100 ft away, male accepted new nest site but female was harder to convince continuing to take nest material to siren even after a custom made cone was attached to the top of the siren. as of today she seems to be happier with her new home and has now been slowly bringing sticks to the platform, lets see how it goes...
