This nest is on the unused swing bridge itself. There is another nest located right behind it, as well. There is a new pair building a nest in the same place or nearby the nest from several years ago was. There are two other active nests in close proximity to this new nest. Both have incubating hens as of 05.10.17 in 2014 it was taken over by nesting Peregrines; Ospreys nesting on small radio tower nearby.

In the middle of a dead tree The pair has moved the nest to a new location across the river on an abandoned Red tail Hawk nest.

Lift Bridge Nest. This is a starter nest atop the light blue RR Lift Bridge across the Hackensack River. A colleague photographed two young in the nest about 10 days ago but i did not see them on two recent river trips. Both parents were always near the nest on both trips. Nest appeared to have failed in 2013. Saw two adults near nest on 07/02/14. Posted photos.

On a pole behind the Swing Bridge, pair relocated from the lift bridge to this pole.
