Gators Parking lot in Treasure Island north end, on a parking lot light. This nest is threatened by development of the area.

Guards the entrance to Weedon Island Preserve.

North side of Gandy Blvd in cell tower located outside old radio station transmitter. Some say strange things can be heard or seen at this location.....

This was a new nest in Spring 2012, located on a light pole in parking lot of Tampa Research Center, Roosevelt Blvd.

Co-located on a distribution system.

This was the site of another impalement. The tower has since been modified.

Might be an alternative nest for one of the other nests in the area.

Active for at least the past 3 seasons

This platform nest is occupied as of 2/25/13

This nest may be built by the same pair that formerly nested at the "hip hop soda shop" across 4th street.

This nest has been active for at least two seasons, maybe more.

This new nest is in an osprey platform.

After several attempts, the Osprey pair got their nest material to stay put in this tower. Plastic owl was pushed aside.

As you proceed N along anderson blvd, you reach this nest.

Middle nest of three on this peninsula. This nest has a large amount of trash and "found objects" .

Nest is constructed between two girders of the "Derby Lane" sign on 4th street near Gandy Blvd. Nest has been in use for many years, since at least 2000.

This nest is located at the top of a wooden electricity pole to the right of the entrance to the Tampa Research Center. Near where #1170 was located on the light pole last year. Update - it is definitely not the same pair because that pair is back on

There were 2 chicks in this nest, one apparently fell out and was found dead on ground under nest on 4/17/2012

This nest is located on 1st Street North between 27th Ave and 28th Ave.

This nest is at the very end of that small trail south of the boat launch. This nest is on a platform that the trail leads right under. It can also be viewed from Pinellas Bayway S.
